About the app
DNexus Signage Player (Android package com.dnexusmedia.signageplayer) is published by Digital Nexus Media Pvt. Ltd., Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India. It turns an Android device into a digital signage display managed from the DNexus Signage platform (signage.dnexusmedia.com). The app has no user accounts or sign-in and is intended for businesses, not children.
Information the app processes
Device pairing identifiers (a random temporary ID and pairing code used to link the screen to a DNexus Signage account, and the device key issued after pairing); screen status and heartbeat messages so the account owner can see whether the screen is online; proof-of-play logs recording which media item played and when; and the playlists, images and videos chosen by the account owner, which are downloaded and stored on the device for offline playback.
What the app does not collect
The app does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, location, photos, audio, camera data, advertising IDs, or any information about people who view the screen.
How the information is used
Only to operate the signage service: pairing the screen, delivering and updating content, remote management (such as restart or orientation) and playback reporting. We do not sell this information or use it to build advertising profiles.
Sharing
Information is sent only to DNexus Signage servers operated by Digital Nexus Media Pvt. Ltd. and is visible to the account that owns the screen. We do not share it with third parties except where required by law.
Security and retention
Communication with our servers uses HTTPS. Pairing and playback data are kept while the screen is registered and for reporting thereafter. The screen owner can unpair and delete a screen from the DNexus Signage dashboard. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes all locally stored content and identifiers from the device.
